This is book one of the series. Jordan shifts slightly in my lap so she can see my face. "Liam, I want you to mark me." She bluntly states and exposes her neck to me, so I can mark her. A wave of confusion comes over me and I tilt my head looking at her. "Are you sure that is what you want?" I look at her neck where my mark should be and feel my canines extending. As it's well knows, shinigami liked to gamble to entertain themselves. The king himself gambled his own life and power on her and a few years before she went into Wammy's.
