The Islands shouldn't exist. All over the world the twisted empty remains of skyscrapers stand testimony to the power of the Super-Hurricanes. Except in the Islands where for seventy years desperate people have survived, turning the flayed skyscrapers into great linear slums and flooded streets into canals. They have survived and now they are starting to thrive. Ollie has gone from selling peanuts to selling diamonds, she is ready for the next step, but will that be a step too far? Wolf wants to help people, that's why he and his fellow Superhumans set up 'The Defenders', wasn't it? Mira has watched the Islands for years, waiting for their attack on her own Bunkertown. But are the Islands really a threat?

Humanity has fallen before the Anthro races. Twenty years of war has reduced the human population to drastically low numbers, severe enough to warrant the Anthro races to "reposition" their stance on humanity despite an almost fanatical unwillingness to surrender. A war for extermination turns into a rescue mission overnight. Enter Sako Squad, comprised of six highly trained spec-ops soldiers for the Anthro Military. They have been tasked to locate and capture a famous and notorious human resistance fighter only known by the alias of "Swan." They can locate him, but will they be able to endure the future and everything it will bring when they take him in?
