Hanahaki Disease is the blossoming of flowers in the chest cavity caused by an unrequited love. The victims of this disease experience intense coughing and chest pains, often expelling petals in their attempt to ease the ache in their lungs. Surgery can be obtained to remove the flowers, but their loss is accompanied by the loss of feelings for the other and sometimes even the memory of that person.
