Jane Ashton's parents named her after the famous English author Jane Austen. They raised her to be a writer and nothing else will do.
But Jane doesn't want to become an author; she'd rather have the freedom to decide on her own path. So she enrolls in a summer program, all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. When she gets in, Jane tells her parents she will be studying great English writers in London, but instead, she will be taking classes on everything but writing.
She heads to England with a heavy heart for lying but becomes happier once she gets there and meets her new roommates: James, the Prime Minister's son, three amazing footballers, Annie, who is a General's daughter, and a world-renowned actress's quiet son Elijah. Right away she finds herself a few friends, and a boy that catches her eye.
Of course nothing is perfect and personalities clash, drama unfolds weekly, and her parents keep emailing her for updates for classes she isn't in. What will she do when love triangles form and her parents decide it's time for a visit?
