Alexandra Reeve's life is falling apart. Her best friend of twelve years, Tessa Cadburry, is in the hospital for overdosing. Alexandra's mother believes that Tessa's near death experience will trigger her, and she is ready to slam her daughter back in treatment. Alex wants nothing more than to go and talk to her best friend, but without her mother allowing her to see her, she is stuck in an unfortunate predicament. An unlikely savior, however, unveils himself as Tessa's mysterious older brother. He and Alex make a deal - as long as she stays clean, he will deliver letters back and forth between the two best friends.
