Even two years after her mother is ripped from life, fourteen year old Grace Haveren still has trouble adapting to her new life in Wolverhampton, England. She'd only visited her British Grandmother twice before the funeral, and when she was taken from her home in Canada, she felt out of place. When she is reunited with her only friend from the visits, her Grandmother's neighbor, Liam Payne takes her under his wing. Even though both are the same age and will be attending school in the same year, Grace struggles to find her image as a student. Liam gives her the low-down about his school, telling her not to associate herself with 'popular kids', because they're totally obnoxious. The two become best friends, and after millions of protests, the stubborn and triumphant Grace convinces Liam to audition for the X Factor UK. Budding romances, first kisses, and various food fights fill the adventurous lives of both Liam and Grace. Will they be torn apart when Liam goes for his dream?
