Long ago, in the deep trenches of time, there was a town called Tombs Blight. Though looking like a ghost town to the ignorant, there were individuals who knew better. The town was run by the blight folk: roguish people they were, full of non-natives that took refuge there; especially thieves and the poor. There weren't many laws, but the main one was watch your own back... it was a shady place indeed. The town folk favored the color black to shroud themselves as well as their personality, and they were bleak and silent. Isolated from the outside world and civilizations, they had become self-sufficient, so as to avoid relying on bartering with other civilizations. The town was located in the province of Polliton, was home to eight holds, and was surrounded by three provinces: Rogeti, Rostel, and Sure Foot.

The New World has been the last peaceful and resourceful country for nearly two hundred years. Or at least that's what they say. Samantha Ivory has been living a boring average life in an old town with lots of history. That is, until the news of a carnival coming to town ignites new excitement. This carnival promises a night of fun for everyone. There are games, promising rewards, and food that no one has ever seen or tasted before. But what if this carnival isn't what it seems to be? And who are these people that have come into her town? Can Sam figure it out before it's too late, or will she get stuck playing a game she never wanted to play? A boy no older than me is just standing there, he is wearing a gray shirt with a hole in the shoulder and it has a handful of stains and dirt spots on it. I immediately know he is not from Treegrass. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. Then one day, the queen got pregnant and this baby did not die, but on the contraire, he grew to become a very strong and handsom lad. On one dark night, there was a rebellion in the kingdom. The king has been betrayed by his own beta and was killed by his own hands. The queen uncertain of what she should do to protect her young lad, sent him with the guards to her sister to the other side of the world. The queen have fought bravely but she died protecting her son believing that one day he shall avenge their deaths and take his rightful place on the throne.Complete
