Something fishy was going on within the Moonstar pack. The Alpha of that pack, Alpha Hugo was into some sick and twisted things, forcing his pack and Beta, Gordon, to gather whatever it was that he wanted. Aspen was sadly born as an omega into that pack. She hid her wolf's aura and had her first shift away from the Alpha because of his corrupt ways and focused on plans to escape day in and day out. The Alpha never let her leave the secured area around the pack house and refused to let her out of the pack's sight unless they were going out as a pack. Kage, the new Alpha of the Nightshade pack is forced to stay in Hugo's territory overnight after an attack from a rival pack and Hugo stupidly forces Sage along with the rest of them. Kage feels some sort of mate bond but he can barely feel it over Sage's suffocating anxiety.
