Ages ago I took a driver's education course and one of my assignments was to write a short story on either:
a. The person at fault in a car crash for texting and driving
b. A third person view of a car crash resulting from texting and driving
or
c. The victim's family's point of view from a texting and driving induced car crash
I chose "c" and this is the mediocre short story of how one small text can end someone's large plans for life.

And I'll do everything in my power to protect you and that also means me claiming you," he pauses and gives my neck butterfly kisses making me let out a moan and nod, "the men here are mean, rough and ruthless and will do anything to get a girl they want. Max and Charles had been in a committed relationship for years now. They recently went through a rough patch but where enjoying their time together now. But what happens if they end up in a car crash? Only time would tell if their wounds would heal. This is a part of my book other book, Wildest Dreams. Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." He brings his hand, sticking his pinky out. "pinky promise."I wrap mine around his, placing a kiss on his lips. Warning before you read!! This is my first book! "Ten years ago today was the worst day of my life. On the 17th of November 2007, I lost my best friend in a hit-and-run car accident. It's been a hard ten years, living from day to day with an awful childhood tragedy at the back of my mind, but the years still crawl by agonisingly slowly. I say that, but when I think about Alice and what happened to her it barely seems like yesterday. My therapist seems to think that documenting everything I think and feel in this diary will finally help me get over her death-and who knows? Maybe he's right. Or maybe he's very wrong; in which case I suppose this diary could serve as some kind of "note"." This is really just me playing around with the diary format and exploring what would happen to the friends of someone who died young - how they would react and try to pick up their lives etc. When writing this, I picked a start date for the diary that seemed far away but it's soon crept up on me, so I had the idea of posting it on the actual dates stated in the book. I actually started writing it in 2016 but I've REALLY procrastinated with it. DISCLAIMER: this is a work of fiction. All events and characters herein are fictitious. Any relation to persons living and/or dead is completely coincidental. --So much on this earth is a miracle. But we fail to see them -- Two friends. One ceremony. One terrible accident. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us. But sometimes it turns into an inferno and burns us all. I had to write this for a school project and my friend said it was pretty good, so now I'm just "Jesus take the wheel" I got inspired by Disney's "Encanto", but the storyline and the characters are made by me. Was It Only An Accident?
Kid has an accident during training and it has the whole school on edge. Was it really just an accident or is it something more? 09/29/2021: Due to its all of a sudden popularity, I've decided to EDIT this entire thing!!!
