Lilac is an outcast, the laughing stock of the school. Her best friend has moved halfway across the United States and now she is all alone. It doesn't help that no one likes Lilac because of personal reasons.

Alisha is the new girl. She wants to find someone that understands her and supports her way of thinking. She was constantly bullied at her old school, and she hopes that this experience will be different.

What's the main similarity between these two girls? They both just want someone to hear them out.
