I switched to a different song to keep my paranoia away. Maybe Misery Business by Paramore? Soon, my ears were filled with Haley Williams trying to shatter her lungs. For a second or two, I actually felt calm and even bobbed my head to the music a few times. But that was momentarily. I could’ve sworn that I saw someone’s shadow running first to my east wall then to the north one. Now, I was intently terrified in lowering my book and look at the thing that has entered my room. But out of curiosity, which was one of my biggest weaknesses, I began lowering my book sluggishly. If I would’ve been a cat, I would be burnt and resurrected the umpteenth time in hell, because curiosity would’ve killed me. The silhouette formed by the shining moonlight bathing my bedroom through the door to ceiling window, was of a boy. As tall as my brother. My eyes popped out of their sockets. Maybe I’m hallucinating. Or maybe, it is my brother. I switched on the bedside lamp. “Hi, I’m Lilandey.” I shrieked.

She was a young dancer. I found her diary as I was exploring a cellar in an old building. She loved to dance on the rooftops at night with her best friend Lily. Some people say that she still does. According to the diary, everything spiralled out of control when she and her best friend Lily encountered that guy behind the apartment complex. I'm serious: beware of that dancer when she wanders the streets in the dead of night. She's looking for the one who fed on her life and stole her innocence--the one that she feels so confused about. If you're tall and wearing a hoodie or something like that, she might mistake you for him. You don't want this to happen. I still don't know who or what she is exactly. Maybe you should make up your own mind: this story is the diary I found. I typed it into my computer and attached the documents that were in my possession. By the way, beware of that guy too: dealers of a new kind have been roaming the neighbourhood lately. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- © 2018 Violetta Liddell All Rights Reserved.
