If you're familiar with California you might know of the mythical legend of the Novas. 

Some believe it, some don't. And Aurora well she never has,to her it was all just a bed time story. But now what was once a daily childhood memory has become a reality. 
 All the trauma filled pieces of her life are falling into place and it's all leading to a secret that's followed her to this day since she was eight years old, and with her past catching up with her and her future revealing it's self sooner than she thought.  How will she feel when she learns all her secrets are being laid out in front of her and a taunt that if she doesn't get out of her own head and realize it's the ones who make up her darkest secrets that are the ones she needs to defeat, and if not in the end her biggest secret will ruin her forever.

Nova is 13, and if a person's power doesn't show by the time they're 14, they're given to the Government to either be tested or killed. The Government basically makes all the decisions for the whole country. So, Nova's 13, and she still hasn't discovered her powers. When her birthday comes, she still has no power. She can either be sent to the Government, for either testing or death, or she can risk her life running away. I created this story, I created these characters, the characters and the plot are mine.
