Once upon a time... No. There are no childhood stories. There are 10 rules and all you have to do is simple, follow them. 1. Be home before dinner. 2. Don't cause trouble. 3. Listen to the Loyals, no matter what. 4. Once turning 15 you must enter The Bidding. 5. Don't be Late. Ever. 6. If being punished, don't fight back. 7. If someone you love is being punished, don't intervene. 8. Don't act as if better than anyone above you. 9. Always have your code number showing. 10. Never disobey the King. The government that was supposed to protect us... Gave our freedom up for their own. That was the cause of The Annual Bidding... Every 15 year old must enter the bidding. It's the most feared event of the year, mainly because knowing most don't make it out alive. To be released you must remain alive until age thirty when you are let out to have a family and provide future slaves. Olivia was one of the less fortunate... This may be edited or rewritten later on when the book is finished ☺️
