Absolute Dance international champions The Next Step hope to keep their title by getting to internationals a second time. But first they must compete at Nationals - as the new dance season kicks in the next step is faced with many problems all around and the team must unite together to find a solution. 
It is also clear that the A troupe that won Regionals won't make the cut and Riley holds auditions for a new team. 

New enemies and friendships will become made aswell as the reunion with some others. Can the next step win nationals and move on to internationals a second time?

The fourth season of The Next Step brings huge changes not only for the show, also in the private lives of the actors. Brittany becomes really close to one of her co-workers. The rumours that she is in a relationship with someone who nobody expected start to be spread in the set and soon around the world, ending the hopes that Trittany would become real. Ironically, Trittany is in the line at the same time that Jiley is. How will Trevor react in this situation? Will he believe the rumours, will he realise that his feelings are not so different from his character's? Is his friendship with Brittany also in danger?

As the next step has just won regionals, they advance to nationals. But, a huge opportunity comes up with Dancemania, that they just can't pass up. What is A-Troupe going to do? My rendition of what happened in TNS season 7, as I wasn't completely satisfied with the story. No hate or offence to the writers, this is simply how I thought it should've gone.

When Nationals comes Michelle learns more about Emily and her 'childish' behaviour when she's nervous. Emily also learns more about Michelle and how she's really feeling. After Nationals when Michelle decides to leave the studio it leaves Emily in a wreck which effects the team for internationals. Michelle tells her to focus on internationals for her. At internationals Michelle surprises Emily and then Emily ends up going back with Michelle and live a normal, happy life. This is when marriage enters both of their lifes.
