Following the death of her father, Harley Rose found an escape in books. Now, nearing the 2 year anniversary of his death, Harley was doing her best to push through and ignore the situation completely. As she worked part time at her mother's book store, she realizes she can't hide her head in her books anymore. Especially when theres a moody bad boy tearing out the pages and re-writing his own.

Temporary employee, Arsen Kingsley, belongs anywhere but a book store. He owns the streets, racing is his thing. Stealing is not. So when he gets caught and has 50 hours of community service working at Rose's Book Garden, he is anything but happy. Not only does he manage to knock down a row of bookshelves, get the owner's daughter to hate him, and almost die three times, he also somehow manages to open his heart to a girl with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book.

Will Harley and Arsen be able to reach the finish line? Or will they lose it all?

I shrunk back into my seat as his head snapped towards me. He looked like his head was going to fall off. His eyes were blazing with rage. His face was set into an icy glare. His fists that rested on the table were clenched so hard his knuckles were white. As he stood from his chair so did I. I felt like the prey to the biggest predator in the jungle. I took two steps back for every stride he took towards me. I gulped again before shaking me head. "She's just joking Ace." my voice quivered as I took another two steps back. "How do I know that?" he sneered down at me, his body towering over me. As I went to take another step backwards, my back made contact with the wall behind me. Well great. Now I'm cornered. This is just typical. ............................................................. One girl moves to the big apple after her family disintegrates around her. All she has left is her one brother. COMPLETED, CURRENTLY EDITING/PARTIALLY REWRITING (please excuse the mess. Some of the plot is being changed so there might be a few areas that get confusing, nothing too much though) Funny how life decides to act like a roller coaster. The ups and down come in a split second. You can't decide whether you want fast or slow. Dangerous or steady. But you don't get a choice. You go with the flow. No matter what. I'm Phoenix Wood, the misfit, and outcast of my town. Instead of a roller coaster my life's more like a train wreck. My adventure loving parents were lost at sea and I was left to my aunt Clare Small. Like I said, train wreck... Not roller coaster, TRAIN WRECK. Not to mention the fact that I end up stuck with the bad boy. Could it get any worse? Secrets unravel and life gets a bit more complicated that it used to be. But it must go on. She's stuck with the bad boy. Or is it the other way around? Maybe he's stuck with the bad Girl... * WARNING: this book is my first work, it'll be a bit rough at the start and sometimes I'll accidentally mess up the story line or it will seem ridiculously stupid, so read at your own risk (I will admit, this book is like my baby, so please be kind when correcting my errors). It gets much better about half way through. If you'd like to read a book of mine that is much better written, go to my profile and find the book Breathe Me. Thanks! (Seriously though, there's a TON of mistakes, some made because I'm currently editing, so the story line could get confusing in some places) Originally published: 2 / 13 / 2014 Completed: 1 / 9 / 2017 Finished Editing: (Not finished yet) Highest rank: #303 in Teen Fiction (1-10-2017)

He chuckled, tapping my notebook. "𝑪'𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒐𝒏, but it's exhausting watching you try so hard." "And what's that supposed to mean?" He leaned in, his breath warm against my cheek. "It means you're too busy building walls to realize what's right in front of you." He was too close, and for some reason, I couldn't look away. "I'm not trying to win you over, Artemis," he whispered, his voice softer now. "Just giving you a reason to let go." And just like that, I lost my words - 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒔 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 is about to start her final year at Westfield Academy, she's long been known as the 'perfect student.' A Bad Boy's Gift

53 parts Ongoing Mature

River isn't your standard 'good girl.' She never went to Uni, works every day of the week and participates in illegal street races. She uses the body she's worked hard for to get her way. River has brought up her 12-year-old brother and has no feelings when she learns her Mother and Father died on holiday. But when she meets Archer, a shadow from the past, her life is about to be turned upside down. Archer is definitely your standard 'bad boy,' always getting caught up in fights, drives like he's stolen his car and in his younger days, made his money illegally. Archer is unbelievably attractive, strong and desperate to make River his own. But when Archer finds out the past 12 years of his life could've been completely different, does his budding relationship with River take a turn, or has he given River a gift that means they'll be in each other's lives forever?
