Illya Nelson and her brother, Riley Nelson are desperately trying to live a normal life despite their flaw of being non-human. It wouldn't have been so bad if they were actually able to be seen or heard of. Illya then meets a boy named Tyler who has the ability to communicate with her. Although, he doesn't know it himself... Becoming a Ghost is the first step in the "afterlife", a trial. Once found peace, your form would turn into a Spirit, the form in which you can live the rest of eternity in utter peace. A group of humans who believe that Ghosts exist and blame everything damned and evil on them, are trying to seize as many as they can get their hands on and either experiment or execute them from their last chance for eternal happiness. Would the two siblings be able to find peace before getting caught? "A tale of death, family, and love." ~ IxC

Death should be calm, death should be peaceful, death should happen when you're old, but death doesn't ask for an age and death doesn't care who you are. Marley learns this life lesson when spectating a hockey match literally knocks her out. She races away from her fears and discovers the only person who can see her is Trent. Scared of going home, Marley attaches herself to Trent. The only thing that'll rid Trent of Marley is answers. Is she dead, is she in limbo and what happens next? While scouting for answers and discovering her new ghost abilities, the pair find themselves in an otherworldly relationship. Things become complicated when Marley's memory and ghost fade. The expression six feet under just gave her a reality check.
