A raging storm, in the small town of Samdun, Michigan, has caused a power outage that leaves it's residents shivering in the chill of the Autumn night.
Including childhood friends James Dabener and Rissa Hesden.
James' knowledge on the fact that Rissa is petrified of the dark, motivates him to distract her in every way possible. So when she asks a simple question, it's really no big deal.
Well, at least, that's what they thought.
That "simple question" morphs into something much more complicated, and it might just change the rest of their lives.

Slendy Snowstorm
(Apologies...this is old and bad but it's necessary for (REDACTED; will let you know when publishing) and I don't have the time or energy for a rewrite.) It wasn't too long ago that a snowfall happened in Nathan's hometown in Montana. And a rather large one at that. It caused school to be cancelled, but it still left room for learning from home. However, there was something different about this snowstorm. People and friends of Nathan began to go missing, and once returned, they had turned into horrible monsters forcing every last remaining uninflected human to band together and fight for survival and to uncover the mystery of the snowstorm and the monsters in its wake. 'You didn't answer my question,' he asked, holding her gaze in his hypnotic ones. 'Wh... what question?' She was surprised at her own voice, it sounded like of someone else's. She wanted to ask him--which question, there were so many he had asked her tonight. Each one threatening in their own different ways to her sanity. Brandan smiled mysteriously. Not answering her, he instead said something else, 'Don't keep staring at me like that.' His voice was soft. Suddenly, she found herself in some other world. 'W.. why?' She stammered ridiculously. His lips slightly brushed against her, she closed her eyes in anticipation, under the spell of their lips connecting. Sparking were the electricity all over her skin. ''Cause....' He took a step back from her, leaving her cold and she was too lost to do something about it--like leaping closer to him and getting engulfed in the euphoric warmth once again. ''Cause, you will fall in love with me... ' He paused as growling deeply a set of thunders boomed above the skies. Cold wind made her hair dance around. He finally finished his sentence, 'Again.' Rain poured down upon her heavily as if the entire sky was about to break down over her, She opened her eyes against the cold water to see he had lef alreadyt, leaving her to drown into his words, completely. *** They say love's blind. Maybe that's why Emma loved Brandan despite all odds, more than she loved herself but only to find that it wasn't enough. When time and fate decided to be cruel to the utmost, she found herself broken in all the ways possible. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real.
