5. Equality between all races and gender, except the cursed.
6. Never trust your feelings, judge through science.
7. Serve your society at any cost.

I've broken them all

There was a great war that was waged by the cursed and the ordain. The cursed were deemed not to be human. They survived on emotions which had been outlawed in favor of science and logic. Science shows social interaction is important in psychology so the highest level emotion that can be expressed is friendship and that is even looked down upon. What deemed those as cursed was:

1. they had a twin
2. they found their soulmate which was extremely rare.

To eradicate the problem for every twin born one was killed.

Except me and my sister

Me and my sister are identical twins. My sister is the only one left in my family because we are orphans. Society forbids love but were not of this society. We are cursed. The curse is different for each person, but generally tends to be psych power. We use our curses to get by. My sister is a bar tender even though she's only 16 but looks 21. She lets me go to school because we can't go together looking too much alike. The government would find out. We would both die. We have no past accept the stunning lockets we wear. Mine is a silver one with sapphires in it while my sisters is gold with rubies. We can't open them even with our gifts. The lockets from our past might be the key to our future. We can't remember our names so we took on the names Ruby and Sapphire.

My name is Alexander...
but i've been called Ander since my friend sapphire asked me if she could call me that. Society tells emotions are bad but Sapphire makes me rethink that. She makes me rethink society. I want to trust her, but can I? I have always been loyal to society.
