This is a story about a girl named Alice Ashdown, whose life was completely normal (for an upper class person) as a girl. But now that she is 16, she found out a secret that the Ashdown family kept for generations. Now, she must fulfill her role as a special child with powers no one ever thought she had, and fight her way through life, clinging to the shadows.
~This story is set in the mid 1800's during the Victorian era in England.~

Alex is a 16 year old girl that lives in a small village in the United states of America. Together with her best friend Tyler she faces challenges no normal teenager should ever face. "I knew I was different when I was little, I knew being a werewolf wasn't normal!" The code she made when she was little was to protect her town but that proves to be hard when your dad isn't supernatural and you don't where the hell your werewolf mother went. It also doesn't really help that when she finally makes friends at school they are forced to help Alex as one of them get's bitten by an unknown alpha. What makes matters even worse is that human friend Ben is absolutely terrified of Tyler and Tyler can not stand the sight of Ben. When things finally seem to go back to normal it all blows up in their face one more time, this time the explosion is so big people die and Alex is forced to kill. Will she be able to ever become a normal teenganger again, especially after meeting so many people and seeing so many of them die one by one in front of her eyes. Her grandmother was like her second parent, a replacement for her dad who died before she was born. But then, on one fateful day, Shadow brings home a mirror and a storybook home from her grandmother's house, after she found a hidden note telling her to take it. After her grandmother's funeral, Shadow trips and falls into the mirror, taking her best friend, Alex, along with her. Now they find themselves in a new universe called Euphoria, in a kingdom known as Abesa. Shadow and Alex find they are apart of an old legend of Abesa and that they were destined to come there and save it from swirling into the darkness. Nothing will ever be the same.Complete
