Everything was Ordinary for me. I wasn't popular or a nerd, I was ordinary. Neither hot nor ugly, just ordinary. Not overly sporty or a book worm, but ordinary. You get it? I was Ordinary. My life was ordinary, nothing exciting ever happened. Attend school, prepare for college, go to parties, hang out with friends. Nothing out of the ordinary. **** Alissa Jane Reed, also known as "Plain Jane" to some was your everyday girl. She kept to a simple routine, never did anything unexpected or out of the ordinary. She played it safe and stuck to what she knew. Hence the name "Plain Jane". But not everything was as ordinary for her as she would want. Carter was the school leading football player, the heart of the school. The cliche heartthrob that made girls swoon, yadda yadda yadda. But he had a large secret that lingered with him everyday. He suffered from panic attacks regularly. As the popular guy of the school and the captain of the football team, he felt that he couldn't seek help. It made him weak. So he did the only thing he could, he kept it silent. Except for the nosey girl that had witnessed his first ever attack, now Alissa was his go to person when he felt it about to happen. They'd made a deal, to keep Alissa's life ordinary like she wanted they barely spoke in school. She didn't want the attention that would come with being the footballers friend. It had worked until now. But it wasn't Carter that ruined Alissa's dream for the ordinary. Instead it was in the shape of two boys who transferred over. And all the drama they brought with them. This is the story of how Alissa went from being Plain Jane to Wendy and her bunch of Lost Boys. ©2016 LisaJane: All Rights Reserved.

Avery wrapped an arm around my waist to catch me before I could get out the door. He pushed me up against the door, trapping me between his body and the door. "What's wrong?" I asked innocently. His face hovered over mine, much closer than I was used to. His gaze didn't leave mine as he spoke. "It would have been different if I had told him from the start. You wanted me to lie for you. You started this. If we tell him what really happened, he would be pissed at me for lying to him." "Stormie, you got a phone call!" Mason yelled up the stairs. The closeness between Avery and me started to make my legs feel like Jell-O, and I couldn't make sense of it. Our breathing became heavier. His eyes trapped mine. "Answer him," Avery murmured. "Uh," I stammered. I cleared my throat. "Be down in a minute!" My voice came out higher than usual. My gaze still couldn't escape Avery's. My heart raced wildly as his chest rose and fell against mine. Avery's gaze flickered to my lips. What's happening? My gaze fell to his mouth, which was moving closer to mine. Stormie West is brave, kind, and young. She has a lot to learn about love, trust, lust, and heartbreak. Stormie's older brother, Mason, is brave, cocky, and a bit of an asshole. He's the wide receiver for the high school football team. Avery Prince is Mason's best friend. Avery has it all, popularity, star quarterback, and girls.
