The Flower Archway

"But as soon as they stepped into the garden, the world started to spin.
The colour of the garden was a blur and neither girl could see straight.
"What's going on?" Mae cried, gripping Emily's hand even tighter than before.
"I-I don't know!" Emily cried in fear.
She hugged Mae close to her as they spun around in circles, circles and more circles. Then, it all stopped."

As children, twin sisters Emily and Mae were always at their mothers garden. The smells of flowers were intoxicating and, it was the perfect place for hide and seek. The twins were in love with it.
But when their mother died, everything started to wilt. Emily and Mae lived with their grandmother in a run down cottage by the lake, their father running off who knows where.
One day, years later, the girls decide to take a trip to their mothers garden.
It's not in a good shape. Stepping inside, the world starts to spin around and around.
Waking up in a strange land, they wonder: is their mother really dead?
