This book is all about a girl named Leena Marie Connor, who is an only child. Her mother and father died in a car accident and she had nowhere to go, she had no money for food or bills so the Government kicked her out of the house. She was homeless. After 2 years on the streets of new york she got beat up by people walking by, and her things would get stolen but one thing she never thought of happening to her was being raped and that is what happened to her one night. She finds out she is pregnant. She gets arrested for stealing and breaking in a shop. She runs away from her family that want to help her.
