the original novel is by Gaston Leroux .

In the POV of the phantom himself, this  is  his story, taking place before and after the time frame of the novel.

The Opera Ghost by MElizabethBlair

Eighteen-year-old Christine is a singer in the Paris Opera. A strange man is watching her behind her dressing room and wants her to be his wife. He tricks her into believing that he is an angel from heaven, the Angel of Music. Eighteen-year-old Raoul is in love with her, but marriage is frowned upon because of the class difference between them. He is from minor royalty and she is from a poor family. He is suspicious of this "angel" and tries to rescue Christine from him when he kidnaps her and takes her to his home in the caverns underneath the opera house. This is my adaptation of the original book "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. The book is now in the Public Domain. I have edited it for grammar and deleted a few parts that didn't contribute much to the story. I also changed the ending a bit. The illustrations are original pen and ink drawings by me. The story is not a "great romance," like the publicity from the stage play would like you to think. It is more of a crime/mystery/detective story.

Means, he's a medley of all the Eriks/Phantoms I know in literature, films, musicals mixed with a good brush of my own dirty, insane, phantasies and memories. But, he always looks like Leroux/Kay Erik, only his eyes just reflect in the dusty light of darkness and seem to be yellow-cattish; in peaceful daylight they're from the color like of the midnight-sky, with golden sparkles, like falling stardust... With this I bid you goodbye and let you read...

What happens though when the mysterious phantom starts showing up again. Will he continue his reign of terror or will he find unsuspecting love with Tamara? And how will this play a part on Tamara? Will she be able to look past all his flaws and discover the man behind the mask. Characters belong to Andrew Lyod Webber and The Phantom of the Opera.
