17-year-old Collin has just scraped up enough money to head to the city of San Fransisco. He plans to make his fortune and earn his way in this world. When he gets enough, he will pay for his mother and little brother, Matthew, to come join him in the good life. But, he soon finds out this city, and his new life, may not be so good after all.
15-year-old Lauren is finally having her dreams come true. She was born on a farm, grew up on a farm, and her parents had planned for her to inherit the farm when she was old enough. But that all changed when her older sister, Jen, returned from schooling overseas. Jen had filled her head with landscapes of towering buildings that went above the clouds. Lauren begged and begged until her family hitched her a ride on a hay wagon and sent to her town.
Soon, their paths collide and Collin is faced with a tough decision. Save his family, or save his friend.
