Fourteen year old Cassidy Wilkins arrives in the Glade in the middle of an all-out war. The Grievers have gone haywire and have begun to sneak inside of the Glade at sundown. The Gladers are practically defenseless against these beasts. With Cassidy's arrival, comes a BIG surprise. Cassidy didn't forget everything. Will this girl make any difference? Conflict arises when the stability of the Glade is disrupted by attacks from Grievers and internal tensions among the boys, exacerbated by Thomas's emerging memories and his role in challenging the status quo.
