Nessa Stevens has lived in the dark all her life, until she's sent to the ground.

Nessa was a second child born on The Ark, hidden by her father and older sister under the floor. Before her father and sister are arrested and floated, her father hides her in the ventilation system where she lives on her own for ten years. That is, until a guard named Bellamy Blake finds her and arrests her. Ever since then she's wanted him dead, and can't believe it when she sees him on the ground.
