9:30am: Police are called to the recently purchased home of Miss Helen McDonnell and Mr Keith Diricolt by Louise McDonnell. They leave with no more leads than when they first entered and the deceased Alpha bonded pair in body bags. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- What appears to be a strange murder-suicide or double suicide becomes the foundation on which Cassandra Greening, Alpha, legendary screwup and resident charity case meets Eli Blair: Omega and reputable Alpha Behaviour Specialist. Greening wants nothing to do with her apparent "handler" with his fluffy flyaway hair, knowing flinty eyes and sharp smile. Blair is less than pleased with his aggressive partner, her commandeering attitude and dismissive glances. They have bigger problems however with the case tripping some dusty, untouched threads forgotten by all but the recently deceased. Greening and Blair make do against the clock, trying to ignore the begrudging respect and growing attraction and they feel for one another.
