Madison Hatton was not as everyone saw her. She had a secret identity: Madi Hatter, a strange heroine who spoke in riddles and looked like something out of Alice in Wonderland.
Madison and her cousin, May Hatton, aka the April Hare, were part of the Wonderland Family, their titles passed down from parent to child throughout several generations. They loved riddles and rhymes, and often looked and sounded like they were from that very story. Many thought them insane if met when in the form of their Wonderland Family member, but if faced with their everyday self, no one could tell the difference between them and any normal person off the street.
No one could ever figure out where the odd heroines were from, because they always showed up wherever they pleased.
Only one person knew exactly who they were and where they came from: Bruce Wayne. He had been the best friend of Madison's father until the day Jackson Hatton died, leaving Madison in the care of her mother, Margaret.
