Gotham, 2043. Things are still chaotic, dangerous, and once again the only hope for the condemned city is Batman, new and improved. But, Batman's alone and Terry McGinnis is starting to feel the pressures of being a solo caped crusader. Is there any chance he could find a protégé to help him somewhere in this forsaken waste of a city?
( Set right after the animated series Batman Beyond and the movie 'Return of the Joker', if you haven't seen it I would highly suggest you check it out, though I'll make sure you understand everything if you haven't seen it ;) Terry McGinnis is the new Batman with a powered suit, who's, in this story, about nineteen even though he started at sixteen years old in the show. <<boom. background )

Whether he's the crime fighting Boy Wonder, or the ward to billionaire Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson AKA Robin is always falling into danger. Kidnapped, Captured, tortured, traded, sold, violated, and more. But what does it take for him to get out of these dangers? Does this thirteen year old boy from the circus have what it takes? Or will he remain in peril until the worst happens? No, I am not *clinically* insane, I just really enjoy a good suspenseful scene and figured someone else must feel the same way. Carter Gordon is the 22 year old daughter of Captain James Gordon, of the Gotham City Police Department. She works at Wayne Enterprises as Bruce Wayne's personal assistant. She also knows his secret. That he is Batman. It is a secret that she plans to take with her to her grave. She is also hopelessly in love with her boss. But, living in Gotham City, her love life is on the back burner of things to worry about. She has lived in Gotham all her life, and has seen the worst the city had to offer.
