Gotham, 2043. Things are still chaotic, dangerous, and once again the only hope for the condemned city is Batman, new and improved. But, Batman's alone and Terry McGinnis is starting to feel the pressures of being a solo caped crusader. Is there any chance he could find a protégé to help him somewhere in this forsaken waste of a city?

( Set right after the animated series Batman Beyond and the movie 'Return of the Joker', if you haven't seen it I would highly suggest you check it out, though I'll make sure you understand everything if you haven't seen it ;) Terry McGinnis is the new Batman with a powered suit, who's, in this story, about nineteen even though he started at sixteen years old in the show. <<boom. background )

Not only is she already in the spotlight as Bruce's personal assistant, she is also well know throughout the city as the Gordon's daughter, thus making her a prime target for the Joker's crimes.
