13 year old Alexandra Jones, preferably Alex has a dream, she wants to be a spy. After being in jail for something she didn't do this head strong, sarcastic, butt kicking, now orphaned girl decides to start anew. No, she is not going to be the shy nerd who lets everybody step on her. She is still the strong headed, sarcastic girl,she just kicks butt a little less. She has a new dream, she doesn't want to be a spy anymore, since all that ever did was get her stuck without parents and a might-as-well-be-dead brother.
16 soon to be 17 year old Alexandra Jones, preferably Alex has a dream, she wants to be something her mother can be proud of. Her new life starts of great until the slightly antisocial girl befriends the 'bad boy' Derrick Stone. Finding Alex's mysterious appearance and intelligence useful, Derrick drags Alex back into the life she tried so hard to forget. But in the end which dream will she live? Which dream will she leave behind? And is it possible to live a little off both?

PS. This is not a good girl turn bad or bad boy turn good book, cause although I'm a sucker for clichés an original is good every once in a while.
