This is a short excerpt from a future novel titled "Around the Corner". The novel follows a young Latina named Raquel Armas who, after her parents divorced, moved to Phoenix with her mother. Raquel is very technically minded and applies for a position as intern for one of the largest tech companies in the world ... Omnitech.

However, after a devastating accident, Raquel's life is turned upside-down and she is forced to move in with her father in Flagstaff. The small town and disconnect with her father cause Raquel to feel very alone until she runs across a young man stranded on the side of the road after his car broke down. Helping him fix it, the two become close.

This is a romantic novel set in the Arcane Universe where all my stories take place. There is no current release date but any feedback is welcome and may help with progress and speed up a potential release.All Rights Reserved

As they get older and turn 16 they both attend a school or academy which teaches younger ones about space travel. The dangers, risks, but also all information they'll need in order to operate a spacecraft. The main girls, Athena and Rika, build their own and start to travel to many different worlds in different systems and sectors of their galaxy. And each two or three chapters contain the details and events of each world.

The air in the room felt stale, the silence was so "loud" I felt like I could hear my own heart beat. I heard I light knock on the door to my room, the doctor walked in, kind of solemn looking. I got worried, I immediately asked him "Hi doctor, is there something wrong?" " With you? No, your vitals seems stable. But I thought that you should be aware of this now." "Be aware of what?" "It's about your parents." "What about them are they okay?" "No, not exactly. They were in a car accident a couple of days ago, and your father flew through the windshield and broke his leg. Your mother is in a coma and isn't waking up. They are both located at Helena Hospital." This is a story about a girl named Jessica White who is 17 yrs. old and has been a gymnast since she was four. While practicing one day she fell off a high beam and was knocked unconscious, while in the hospital she is informed her parents were in terrible car accident and her mother is now in a coma. Throughout the story Jessica's family breaks, her friendships grow, her trust deteriorates, lost loves return, many tears are shed and hearts are broken but despite the pain her life goes on. With the Help of her best friend Ashley Bennett, her strong will and unwavering fight, Jessica learns to believe In the impossible and to not let go of the things in life that mean the most to you.

Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.
