Chara knows something's up with the mountain that looms by their village; shrouded in mystery, nobody had ever been up it. The legends said that something terrible would befall anyone who tried. But, after one terrible day, Chara climbed Mount Ebbot. And Chara fell.
This is based on what I'm guessing happened before Chara climbed Mount Ebbot. It's only going to be a short story, but I hope you enjoy it!

Welp, I've never written a fanfiction before, but after thumbing through page after page of mediocre Undertale 'fics, I felt compelled to write one. The subject of this tale is Chara's ambiguous backstory. (for the sake of simplicity I'm going to call her a girl) There's so much about her that's left up to the player's imagination. Why did she climb Mt Ebott? What about her parents/family? Why does she want to erase the world? That's what I'm going to interpret. I've been both intrigued and disturbed by her, and she's a character I've been thinking quite a lot about. So, here we go.
