They felt as that not being able to see color would stop civil unrest and discriminatory barriers, and by the time they met their soulmate people would be mature enough to make proper societal decisions. Linnea, the story's main character, believes her childhood best friend is her soulmate, but she soon learns that there are tricks to this color system. Sometimes, color can be falsely seen in faint hues and sometimes, the person you thought was your soulmate really isn't. This one choice can transform your whole life in a matter of seconds. In just a few minutes, Niall will walk into that metal office. The room will be empty with the exception of the metal table in the middle. There won't even be a chair for him to sit on. The table will have three things on it - three pills - on the center of it. One will be red, one will be blue, the last one green. These three pills will hold the different options for his future, and he will have to pick one.
