The eagle ruffled his feathers a bit before diving low under a cloud. Peyton laid on her stomach and watched the setting sun solemnly.

"Fili, Kili! Ever!" I cried, desperately. Whirling around in different directions, I became desperate to find them. They were all I had. The company. I was alone. Exactly what I didn't want to be.
Lost, alone, and in the Mirkwood Forest.

"Tell me..." he began, "Why an Elf traveling with a party of dwarves, claims her innocence, after she assaults several of my guards."

"I am NEVER going to marry you. I am not YOUR PROPERTY. I am my own person. You don't own me, Thranduil. Now for god's sake leave me alone!"
Here lies the second book in the adventures of the headstrong and rebellious teenager, Peyton. In this book she finds herself being held against her will in the Thranduil's kingdom for his own selfish benefits; for he holds a dark secret of her past, later revealed to her. It is now Peyton's job to figure out how to escape in time to help the dwarves on their quest and find her place in a world that's seemingly so alien yet so ... familiar. Many characters that don't appear in the movies are in this book such as: Glorfindel, Elladan, Elrohir, and Erestor.
A/N: If you haven't read The Misfit I suggest you do so or you're going to be really confuzzled xD
DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of Tolkiens work. I only own my characters which include, Peyton her family, Tathar, Ever, and many elves that you do not recognize as Tolkien's. The rest belongs to Tolkien as the world and a good majority of the characters are his and belong solely to him and his estate.
Being a king is hard. Raising a son is hard. Living with eternal grief is hard. King Thranduil is just trying to keep his kingdom running and his son safe when an elf is found with orcs at the border of Greenwood.
Who could this mysterious elf truly be? But then the elf he rescued in the forest grows closer to Legolas, and Thranduil can not help but enjoy her company as well.
Darkness descends over the forest, all because of this one elf. When lives are threatened, Thranduil must make a choice: his kingdom or his heart.
12/14/21- y'all I wrote this in high school and I kinda want to go through it again and do a bunch of editing. Some of my writing makes me cringe and what are we here for if not improvement. That being said, this story will change starting today probably and if you're in the middle of it, hopefully I don't confuse details or timelines for you. If you've already read it once and just felt like you had to read it again, maybe it will provide some new enjoyment. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually finish some other stuff I have on here.
