A collection of steampunk short stories set in an alternative earth that may be included in the second volume of the Brass Skies collection.  

In a world where the American War of Independence hasn't happened and the British Empire under the control of the king enjoys a complete monopoly of the skies, cruelty and oppression are a way of life in the various colonies.
However not everyone is content with the status quo.  The Irish resistance is finally gaining traction while at the same time in the American colonies crews of airships that have turned pirate are declaring their Independence from the British one airship at a time.
