Paisley and Jake were as close as best friends could be. He was the happiest person she knew and he could make her smile in the worst situations. Everything was perfect with them, until he commits suicide out of the blue, leaving her totally alone. Trying to figure out why he took his life, she decides to give up on being close to anyone which makes her a loner at school. That is until the new kid Damien comes into the picture and he won't leave her alone until she becomes his friend. She doesn't want him in her life, but she is tired of being alone. Will she give him a chance?

"Louis. You're my guardian angel. You saved my life." I say shakily. My voice is unstable and I can't even recognize it anymore. I squeeze his soft warm hand. His eyes scan every inch of my face before gently pushing my curls back. He shakes his head blankly. Unable to pull his stare away from my lips. "No Harry." He says.
