After losing her parents to a horrible accident, August Marrinez is left to move in with her older sister, Laura, where she meets some new people who become quite signifigant in her life.
Among these people is Aiden Vale. He's the cocky yet brooding type. A badass in his skin tight jeans and endless collection of vintage band t-shirts. Usually August would turn her nose up at guys like him, but there's something about his eyes that flicks a switch in her brain.
The two become close almost too quickly and August becomes more aware of Aiden's past. He tells her everything bad he's ever done. He lays everything out on the table for her. Well almost everything. The one thing he leaves out could very well be the destruction of the only relationship he's ever had.
August can tell he's hiding something and Aiden will do whatever it takes to keep this secret from reaching her ears. But what he doesn't seem to realize is that all secrets are bound to come out sooner or later. Which one will it be? Can August uncover the truth? Even more, can she handle it?
