Cole and Mia have always been best friends. They have pretty much grown up and been through everything together.
First time dissecting a frog? Check. Biology class in 10th grade, Cole had sneaked the frog into her bag at the end of the period. Got detention for a week.
First period? Check. Okay, maybe Cole didn't get periods but it was enough pain for him to watch Mia go through them.
First fight? Check. With each other, over a bag of M&Ms.
First heartbreak? Check. Cole still wanted to punch stupid Emerson to this day.
First time getting detention? Turns out starting a food fight wasn't such a good idea.
First honor roll? Check. Mia says it only happened because Cole had copied her the whole semester. Cole denies this accusation.
First kiss? Check. Happened in 7th grade with each other, just to get it over with.
First time falling in love? Not yet, but Cole might be close to see it happen for Mia and this time it wouldn't be with him.
