"Don't play with fire it's dangerous" Who know those words had a deeper meaning. When Alex finds out everything in her life had been a lie, she goes out to actually live her life. Little did she know the people she loved weren't lying to protect her, but to protect people from her. A lie, a curse, a boy, and a near death experience (more like 10) not necessarily in that order, makes Alex realize why half of her life was lived in a prison.

Alex is a fifteen year old boy who had the worst luck in life. He'd witnessed his parents deaths, he was bounced from foster home to foster home, but this was the last time. His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." High school was hard, but college is even harder. Jack's coping with his break up while also balancing all his classes and it's actually quite hard for him to keep up. But he has to study and keep his grades up to keep his scholarship. This was not what he had in mind at all when planning for college, but this was the hand he was given. Alex was lost. Not in a figurative way, though. He was literally lost in a forest, with no idea how he got there. Last thing he remembered, Jack had been at the hospital after literally every trace of any human activity there seemed to be erased. This was the same Jack that he had believed to be dead just a week before. The same Jack he had cried nightly over after those dicks at school had basically murdered him. And he was shoving his way through the branches and leaves in the hopes of finding Jack, yet he had literally no idea where he was. Alex started to show development of his powers and despite the fact that his parents didn't want him to be a soldier, they knew that he needed to be trained and how to use his powers properly knowing that if he didn't, he would end up hurting someone either accidental or on purpose so they went against their empire's beliefs and they taught him core beliefs that went against the code of the empire about how to respect other peoples culture and respect life in general and do not take another life lightly It was then that they discovered that Alexander was a lot stronger than than other viltrumite of his age group however they didn't have time to to understand the full differences between them and their son. The Empire had found them fearing the worst. The parents fought back against their former allies as their son fled the planet as far away as he could... Over 1000 years had passed and Alexander was all alone in the universe he still believed in the core concepts that his parents taught him and tried his best to help the universe whatever way he could he intended on staying out of the Empire's way continuously running from them that was until he came to a planet of mud and water called... Earth were a new adventure that would change his life forever was about to begin

It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be?
