Discovery writing with no clear plan. It is based in my sci fi/fantasy Universe of Amasayer. It takes place during the events of Amasayer Saga: Genesis, but on the other side of the the mysterious out of phase world of Eldr'Gar. A world where it's inhabitants were all once space faring civilizations that were 'marooned' in this starless realm.

It begins near the end, with a man intent on destruction, who feels most of his humanity has gone. As with so many others. Set in a future where almost all sentient life on earth no longer exists. Yet something remains. People continue to live as if nothing has changed, unaware that they are no more than copied memories running in an artificial substrate. In writing The Captured I've tried going some way to explore what defines sentience. And considered the following: Would a machine entity recognize the distinction between itself and biological life - if it could replicate thought and action? And if it could recreate the exact function of a living being what difference does it make whether as flesh or machine? Their kind never went through the same devolution as humans, they never lost their natural instincts to hunt, kill, or breed. With their limitless potential and monstrous strength, they faced few threats and could survive almost any threat that befall their species, almost. After an incurable sickness washes over the planet of xanadis, the majority of the female, young and elderly, and vulnerable population is all but wiped out, leaving a small portion of the male population to face the threat of extinction. With no choice but to look to the stars for a means to save their kind from complete annihilation, the xandisians set out to find a race compatible with their own. after many years and countless failed expeditions, they finally find a species that matches their base DNA on a planet called Earth. A vast and beautiful magical land. Made up of different cities and towns. Where many mythological creatures live and practice magic. A few of the races include the Amani, the (elves?), and the (dragon?) The story will follow one main character from each race, how they practice their magic and how they help their world when an evil rises up.Complete

A flash of light, a hiss of static, and a city of 50,000 became a ghost town in an instant. The area was cordoned off, eye witnesses were taken away in black helicopters, never to be seen again, and officially, the city no longer exists. The only people left inside the cordon are Curi, Crypto, and Tech, three members of an expedition into the Zone who can't remember who sent them, why they're exploring the Zone, or even their real names. The only thing they can remember is they are tracking a radio signal coming from the center of the Zone. A signal that can't possibly be human. But the Zone isn't ready to give up all of its secrets.
