He chuckled, the sound making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
His eyes tore away from mine and my heart began to race. No eye contact meant I was in the dark and it gave me no leverage to figure out what he would do next. 
Now I was scared.
His mouth neared the hollow between base of my neck and shoulder, his tongue traced the dip slightly making me gasp.
I swallowed back the huge lump in my throat. "You won't hurt me...you won't."
I shuddered again as his breath caressed my skin and I regretted it instantly when I heard a low  chuckle.
"Really?" He he questioned with mocked confusion, teasing my skin with his teeth. "And what makes you so sure?" He drawled, arrogance of his answer thick in his words.
"Because..." I took a short breath in before letting it go "I trust that, if you wanted me dead...I would be," I tried to whisper once again, but the words were too soft as though I hadn't even said them. I wasn't scared anymore, I was terrified.
"I can change that," he growled against me, before sinking his teeth into my neck.
