He almost always is my demon. A demon who chased my dreams away, who chased my hopes away... who chased me away. I think that is what I am thankful for. Out of this whole thing we have with each other, I am thankful that the pain drived that writer in me and I was able to see that I am not alone. By sharing my pieces, I saw that there are thousands of people who understand me, who have been through the same. There are people whom I have been and there are people who have been me.

And keeping the hatred I am supposed to have for you and the sorrow I have for myself aside, I understand why you did what you did. I know I shouldn't but I do. It doesn't mean I forgive you or something. But I understand because I have been in love, even if it was with the wrong person. And I know how scary it can be when every door seems to close on you. What I don't understand is that You were the door that was open to me when I was in a volatile state, didn't you think even for a second that I could be the one open to you too?

I tried to find my way to happiness. I tried to force myself to embrace the good always. But then again, I was alien to the concept of happiness. The most important thing to do for that inner joy was acceptance. Acceptance is vital and what's more vital is the acceptance of self. So, I did. I escaped my visuals and I agreed that I am a sad person. I accepted and became okay with the fact that the body I've been in , in this life, has had so many scars and so many wounds that even skin can't hide.
