Crimson was your average normal high school student with her own secrets and whispers in the dark. That is until she meets ominous unknown killer, Jeff. With a carved smile and eyes that can watch you even as he is asleep Crimson is unsure if she can really trust the killer. Awaiting Crimson's untimely demise Jeff is fogged with thoughts of her 24/7 and wants nothing more but to be with her. Once she realizes she wants to live and not only live but live with him. She wonders what she will tell him and how to tell him that she likes the killer. Jeff knows he wont be able to hurt the girl he had came to know and love so when listening in on Crimson and Natalie's conversation about her feelings for Jeff; he wants nothing more but to go to her and say that he craves her as well but is stopped when Jane the killer starts to fight Crimson, declaring her love for Jeff. Being shocked and misplaced, Jeff flees the scene hoping to clear his mind. So she wishes. She wishes as hard as she could that she could meet him. The next day her life turns upside down. Because she meets him. Except he's come straight out of the movie and is sleeping in her floor. After she calms down they realize that her wish has brought Luke out. Then they realize another obstacle. He's invisible to everyone but her. He begins following her everywhere. Even to school. When they go to school she realizes that another boy can see him. A loner boy named Jason. She recruits Jason to help her and they begin to get close over the course of it. For some reason these two boys cheer her up. But for some reason the closer she gets to Jason the more Luke seems to disappear from her world. Can she handle losing her best friend again? Or can Jason hold her up?

She starts hanging out with the wrong people, and is fonded by a no-good troublesome junior, Michael Wean. She faces a horrible time avoiding him, realizing that another guy, Brandon Zeleski, the opposite of her friends, is the one she's in love with. She's a loner at school, because her friends skip it and hang out by an auto store. But as the story unfolds, things only get worse for her. Her best friend is turning against her, and she's starting to recieve horrible nightmares that are connected with her life and the death of her dad. She starts believing that her nightmares give out answers to her dad's death and her future, and she starts to distrust people. And although this seems nearly impossible, and becomes a long journey, Heather is challenged by her school shrink to change and show her mom and little sister that she can turn into her old self again, that is, if she's willing to cooperate with getting help to change, in the blink of an eye.
