It had always been just Meadow and her mother. Her father left as soon as he found out he was going to have a child, leaving her mother to raise Meadow alone. They weren't a rich family, and so when Meadow falls pregnant at just seventeen, she's knows it's the best thing for everyone to give the baby up for adoption. Or so she tried to convince herself.

She moved to America to live with her grandma while she was pregnant, to avoid being bullied by everyone that knew her. She planned to find the baby a family in America, and then move back to London to start a new life in college, but things aren't that simple.

Throughout her entire pregnancy she told herself that she couldn't raise a baby, and that giving it away to another family would be what's best for the child, but when she finds herself in labour a month early, she starts to doubt her decision, and when she meets a girl named Raine, she comes to the conclusion that she can't give away the child she carried for eight months.

She moves back to London with her baby, regularly writing to Raine. She starts college, but she didn't expect to make friends, or fall in love with her baby's father all over again. She spent her time in America getting over her boyfriend and makes the decision to not tell him he's a daddy. But as they grow closer again, it begins to prove harder being the mother of a secret child.
