If you injure yourself the doctor will ask the level of your physical pain on a scale of 1-10. They will then patch you up, maybe give you medication until you are well again. But what about emotional pain? What about when that pain breaks free of the confines of your heart and mind and you feel it so deeply that you experience physical pain? What about when a loved one is in so much pain and in too many pieces, that maybe - maybe they are so shattered they are beyond repair. This is a story of a girl who refused to give in and a boy determined to push her away.

Broken

They say that you can never find closure for rejection. You just learn to live with it and move on. The pain is all too real and healing may take too long. How does one survive a loss when what you lost was never yours in the first place? Where do you find yourself when you feel lost yourself? When do you begin to pick up the pieces of what was once yourself? How do you begin to fix and what was broken? Note: Aside from the obvious exceptions, the places, names, etc... are fictional.
