When Isabel visits her grandma in New York, who later dies, her perspectives change. She goes back to California, where she lives, and goes back to school, but now she is a completely different girl. 

On top of fighting off the most popular girl in school, she has Mr. Bad boy fighting for her love. Or maybe not.
