"what the heck is this?" i ask to charisse as she looked at the thing i hold.
"oh my god... where did you get that?" she asked me, worried.
"it was on my desk at home" i answered slowly as she took a look at it.
"it's like a memento mori for you" she chuckled nervously and i raised an eyebrow at her. "what does that mean?"
she paused for a moment, breathing in before telling me.
"that thing is like a reminder that you have to die someday, brie"
