Everybody gets a bracelet on their sixteenth birthday. That's when the box in our ear tells us its the perfect time to start thinking about love. We get a bracelet, and it counts down to the exact moment we meet our soulmate. Mine has exactly 37 seconds left, no, wait, 36 seconds... no, 35... 34... 33... oh it's so close!! I bet he's gorgeous. And even if you've known your soul mate your entire life you won't know until the first time you see them either on or after your 18th birthday and it is like love at first sight. But you will be attracted to them because they are meant for you so of course you will find them attractive. But imagine my surprise when the person made for me was my polar opposite.

Ironically, he had a Vid-Con panel with some friends that day. He often turned down the possibility that it might be one of them, and he assumed that it would be some random event. Possibly a phone call, or someone wandering on stage. He didn't really understand how the clock worked, all he knew was that the second your clock hits zero, you would kiss your soulmate. You can't control it. They may be in a completely different country, but your brain makes you fly there. Nothing gets in the way. Mark looked down at his wrist. He couldn't help but wonder who his soulmate might be, all he knew was that he'll be with them in 6 days, 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 5 seconds. ~~~~~ Hey! So this is the clock soulmate au, but with a twist. When the clock hits zero, they'll kiss their soulmate.
