Clarence Marlow has never dealt with such a curious case before. As second-in-command at Scotland Yard, it's up to him to solve the case of the mysterious Jack the Ripper, as the papers so eloquently named the serial killer terrorizing the citizens of London. With the help of Bernard Hastings, the kindhearted chief of police, Mary Jane Kelly, a quick-witted resident of Whitechapel, Newt Reuben, the resourceful orphan, and Florica Herne, a beautiful performing gypsy, the case may be cracked. But will Jack the Ripper be undone in time? You, the reader, must collect clues for yourself in this thrilling new tale spun by X herself. Can you solve the case before time runs out?
A warning from X: This story is not marked Mature, but you must be aware that there are a few *questionable* scenes that you cannot skip if you want to understand the story. Margo Watson was found murdered in her own home on October 13th. Leaving the town of Scattervale, with the solving of it's first murder mystery, in 30 years. Her body was found in her bathroom tub with evidence of a homicide, that led to her death. Once the autopsy came back with fingerprints from her friends, covered on her corpse, the mystery unravels. But when her foes as friends argue to be framed for the murder and not actual suspects. Things start to get bloody, as the town of Scattervale, point fingers, pick sides, and bid on the killer. So which one of her five foes did murder her in cold blood? And will anyone ever know the truth? There's only one way to find out.... Why, then, does he find himself drawn into the arms of another woman? **story contains mature content** This story is loosely based around the rumors of a secret relationship between John Lennon and Alma Cogan, a British singer known as 'the girl with the laugh in her voice.' She was the highest-paid British female entertainer of the 1950s and became close with the Beatles as their fame grew. There is not a ton of information out there regarding the possible affair, but Cynthia Lennon spoke about it many, many years later. Learning about some of the details she gave made me want to explore the possibilities and add my own twist. While this story is loosely based on actual people and events, none of it should taken as anything more than pure fiction. There was the mob, all reaching and grabbing at something on the ground. Several of them were screaming bloody murder (due to the excitement of the fallen Beatle or because they were being pushed and shoved was unknown). "Paul McCartney! It's him!" they shrieked in utter amazement as they ripped at his hair and his clothes.... The year is 1964, and The Beatles have made it big...maybe a little too big, for, everywhere they go, they're ambushed by fan girls. Usually, the lads from Liverpool are quicker than the crowd, but, one day, the fans happen to grab a hold of none other than The Beatles' bassist, Paul McCartney, effectively beating his body and mind to a pulp. This angst/hurt comfort story tells the tale of Paul McCartney, who has been scarred by the brutality of his attack, and his three friends, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, who are trying their best to help Paul and his paranoid state of mind. Will the three friends help Paul? Or will they only make his situation worse? If so, will Paul go so far as to quit being a Beatle? Read "I'll Cry Instead" to find out!
