"Why are you doing this?!" I frantically screamed, struggling to free myself from the tight chains around my ankles.

"We're just doing what you agreed to do, Miss Jackson!" He answered cheerfully. An evil smile spread across his deviously handsome features. "I don't understand what you're so upset about. It's an honor to be the first ever contestant on Lifeline."

I gaped up at him in horror. "Y-you're crazy!" My voice strained at the rabid sob that tore through my throat.

That only made Nick laugh. He threw his head back, clutching at his stomach. "You're hilarious!"

Hot, frustrated tears rolled down my face.

Suddenly, Nick regained his professional stance. His face was free of emotion when he stalked over towards my podium. "Have you ever heard about the nine circles of hell?"

My body shook in fear. I was too afraid, too shocked to speak.

"I take that as a no, Miss Jackson." He gestured to the large screen.

Once glance and it all made sense. He wanted this gameshow to be hell.

"9 circles. 9 games to play."
